Join a Bannerlord custom server
Find a Bannerlord custom server in the Custom Server List, enter its password, switch to the beta if needed and use Join as Admin to run the battle.
You find a Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord custom server by its name in the game's Custom Server List. There is no address to type: the server registers itself with TaleWorlds, and the game lists it.
1. Find and join the server
- Start Bannerlord and choose Multiplayer.
- Open the Custom Server List.
- Search for the server's name and select it.
- Join it, with the server password if its owner set one.
The server's owner gives you the name and password.
2. If you can't see or join it
- It is not in the list: check the spelling of the name and that the server is running. A server whose token expired never registers; its owner makes a new one.
- A different version: you and the server must run the same game version. If the owner runs TaleWorlds' public beta, switch your game to the beta in Steam: Properties, Betas. To go back, choose no beta.
- Wrong password: ask the owner for the current one.
- The server is full: it takes only as many players as its owner set, 12 on a HostForge Co-op server.
3. Join as Admin
To run the battle, right-click the server in the list and choose Join as Admin, then type the admin password. The game's admin panel lets you change the map, the mode and options for the running game. The owner has the admin password; share it only with people you trust.
Where to find the name
The server page shows the server name, the join password and, to managers, the admin password, each with a copy button. The server stays on the current game version, or on the 1.5 beta if you chose it. To host your own, see setting up a Bannerlord dedicated server.
