No spare PC running the dedicated server and no port forwarding. HostForge runs it on dedicated hardware, keeps it on the current game version, and lists it in the game's Custom Server List under the name you choose.
Pick Skirmish, Captain, Team Deathmatch, Siege, Duel or Battle, the maps in rotation and the two teams' cultures.
Bannerlord hosts with a token from your own copy of the game. Type one command in the multiplayer lobby console and paste the token in.
Follow live progress, then find your server by name in the Custom Server List. Join as Admin opens the game's admin panel.
The practical tools for hosting your group's battles, without a separate server admin.

Switch the server to TaleWorlds' public beta so players on the beta can join, and back again when they return.
Your TaleWorlds server token goes only to your server and is never shown again. Your server page shows when it is due for renewal.
Run a Bannerlord custom server for your group at no cost during the beta. Spots are limited. Paid plans will follow, with at least 30 days' notice before any charges start.
Start free beta serverHostForge is in beta, and beta servers are free. Each account can run one free Co-op server, for up to 12 players. For Captain or Siege with many troops on the field, pick Co-op High Performance when you create it.
In Bannerlord, choose Multiplayer, then Custom Server List, search for your server's name and join, with the server password if you set one.
TaleWorlds lets a custom server host only with a token made in your own copy of the game. In the multiplayer lobby, press Alt + ~ to open the console, type customserver.gettoken and press Enter, then copy everything in Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Tokens\DedicatedCustomServerAuthToken.txt into HostForge. A token works for three months, and your server page shows when to replace it.
No. TaleWorlds' dedicated server runs the multiplayer modes: Skirmish, Captain, Team Deathmatch, Siege, Duel and Battle. Bannerlord's campaign has no dedicated server.
Version 1.5 is in public beta on Steam. Most of its changes are in the campaign, such as blood feuds between clans, new sandbox starts and battle sites on the campaign map. HostForge runs the beta's dedicated server too, for groups playing multiplayer on the beta, and moves servers to 1.5 when TaleWorlds releases it.
Players can only join a server on the same version as their game. HostForge checks Steam for new dedicated server builds several times a day and prepares them on every host; a restart, or the Update button, moves your server onto the new version.
Right-click your server in the Custom Server List, choose Join as Admin and type the admin password from your server page. The game's admin panel then changes the map, mode and options for the next battle, and kicks or bans players.
A multiplayer server keeps no world: every battle starts fresh and bans last until the server restarts, so there is nothing to back up. Your settings stay in HostForge.
